We
We are the messengers
Telling everybody when one is born
Inviting them to bless the child,
Why does the child cry?
We are the palanquin bearers
Carrying the bride and bridegroom
After their marriage is solemnised
Why does the bride weep?
We are the pall bearers
Weeping we lament our loss
We carry the corpse to the burial ground
Why does the corpse remain silent?
