We Are Only Quests Poem by Shane Dickie

We Are Only Quests

Rating: 5.0

We are only guests, not long-term residents
Living upon this earth,
We leave behind our deeds and our actions,
It is not all about me
But what I can do to shape this world
And make it a better place to live in…
Life is about contributing our gifts
To lighten the darkness,
I am a brick of a large building—the universe
Which can not function on its own
And I must ask for help when I need it
And not feel ashamed when I do
And I must support others in turn;
We are the universe and the universe is us,
There is no such thing as the individual
Or the "I" - it is mere a letter of the alphabet
And should only be used as such,
There is only the We.

Brilliant poem Shane, the ‘I' get a lit of ego trips with some people.
