We Longed For Poem by Matin Bairagi

We Longed For

We longed for love, but in vain.
Love is faded now; a grand gala is there for dogs and vultures
Hope for nice rescue is quenched in dead moonlight
The walls become ghoul's screams
Artist's autere and poet's pen are gone astray.
Singing voice is stopped and harlot's love-life too.

We longed for love, longed for its coming back
Longed for the rows of righteousness will fly in birds' white wings-
But there strolls in darkness
The jackals and the barking dogs with human legs.

We longed for love, longed for its coming back-
But there wave flags of clashes for self-destruction.
