We Stand There Poem by Ray Hansell

We Stand There

Rating: 5.0

A hug and a kiss
Is how we greet
It happens each time
That her and I meet

Then there's a pause
As I look in her eyes
The feeling I get
She also gets likewise

We stand there and hug
Like two lost friends
But this is a beginning
No where near an end

The way she holds me so tight
With hands soft and warm
Like she's protecting me
From a bad approaching storm

I love the touch
I love the feel
I know it all
Is so very real
