POEM - We still wish you a Happy Fathers Day

No matter if the sun shines,
This day will still feel grey,
Because we lost you twenty years ago,
We cannot speak with you in person today.

You taught us many things in life,
But your loss really hit us hard,
Because you're not with us today,
You cannot read our card.

Time in life continues still
But the hurt still goes on,
We cannot tell you face to face,
Because sadly you have gone.

It may be twenty years since our loss,
But days like this still makes us sad,
We cannot hold you and say we love you,
And enjoy the times we once had.

Like many others, today will still be hard,
But we can speak up to you and pray,
Although you're in heaven now,
We still wish you a Happy Fathers Day.
