We'Ve Met Before Poem by Amy Sutton

We'Ve Met Before

Rating: 4.5

I greet you.

And in the space
Of the few seconds
It takes you to reply,
All the desperate, secret moments
We ever shared
Bloom like ugly flowers,
And hang on the air
Like black crows
In a churchyard.

And suddenly there is nothing to talk about.
