We Will Meet Again Poem by Richard Wlodarski

We Will Meet Again

Rating: 5.0

I loved you so much more
Than you'll ever know
Didn't give you time you deserved
Truly didn't know how or why

My heart was in right place
But my mind was displaced
Eyes blinded by sparkling smile
Ears deafened by crying pain

Your heart cried out to me
I wasn't there for you
You only asked for little time
I never seemed to be around

You're not around anymore
And now I've found some more time
To reflect on time spent together
And think 'bout when we will meet again

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My Godmother passed away on Monday January 22,2018. I didn't get a chance to say good-bye. She was like a second mom to me. She was there for me at both my book openings. On both occasions, she was moved with tears of joy as I read a couple of poems dedicated to her. I am moved with tears of sorrow at her passing. This is my farewell poem to her.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Heart keeps tenderness of love beautifully. This contains reflection of mind. An amazing promise is remembered to meet again. An excellent poem is very well drafted....10
