Wearing Your Skin Poem by Lubna Hazeem

Wearing Your Skin

Waiting for someone
I'm not sure who he is
But he's certainly at the moment
Whom i never shook hands with

Laughing harder than usual
Trying to fit in where i am
My world's spinning in a circle
What's there left to understand?

I wish there was some sort of hope
I wish i had a better place to go to

Because only in my dreams
I get to see who you are
I get to look into your eyes
Without a disguise

Stripped of all fashion
Stripped of all thought
Wearing your skin
Breathing you in

Oh, maybe you'd find
A ghost in your mind
Who knows you more
Than anyone did before
