From there behind a door she peeks,
Our winged and budding princess fair.
The evening rays of sun ignite
Those golden strands of halo hair.
The sound of stifled giggles drifts
Beyond the porch to waiting ears,
And heartbeats quicken as the joy
Of being with her ever nears.
And standing at the portal, she
Bestows delight with giggling grin.
Our fairy princess robed in light
Welcomes us to enter in.
