What A Wonderful World Poem by David Wood

What A Wonderful World

Rating: 5.0

"I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom
For me and for you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue
And clouds of white
The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world".

The immortal words sung
By Louis Armstrong
A magic bell once rung
Can never be wrong.

A weary world now cold and
Weary with Covid's dark cape
Closing over towns, farms
Hills and sleepy villages.

All in desperate need of hope
That 2021 now offers. Nature
Helps with the coming spring
Snowdrops, daffodils, buds on

Trees. Kindness, we all need
To be kind to each other and
Remember Lous Armstrong's
Dream of a wonderful world.

Dream and it will happen.
