What Aren’t You Not Telling Me? Poem by Nicholas Wayde Turner 24

What Aren’t You Not Telling Me?

So many secrets, so many lies
I can see them piling up all the way to the skies.
It’s hard to tell what’s going on.
It’s hard to tell how sincere.
I’m afraid to talk to you.
I’m afraid to talk to anyone.
I can’t open up to just anyone.
It takes a long time.
You never let me be a kid.
You always brought me down.
I was only six and you said I was crazy.
I was only seven and you told me…
That everyone was going to make fun of me if I did this or that.
You turned me into that kid.
You made me afraid of everyone’s opinion.
Please don’t tell me to let it go.
Please don’t tell me that I need to get over it.
You can’’t understand how much you affected me.
There are times I feel so much hate towards you.
There are times I thought about…
You don’t want to know.
