What Can We Do

God’s love for us is rich and true
His all He wants to share
Although good things we seldom do
Though evil thoughts we bear

Sinners He loves beyond their worst
And saints despite their best
For sin alone God’s damned and curst
Whilst righteousness He’s blessed

What can we do for life to be?
How is a fool made wise?
How can the blind be made to see?
Which darkness still denies

We need to seek in Jesus’ name
God’s grace His truth and Light
Repent from sin repent from shame
And practice living right

God sent His Lamb His suffering Son
To raise the walking dead
Regardless of the good we’ve done
The evil thought and said

Through Christ, God wants our eyes to see
The Truth to understand
In turn to rise the same as He
Into The Promised Land

For this! God sends His Holy Dove
To council heart and soul
Reveal The Truth to guide with love
Toward our unseen goal

As Wind beneath our wayward feet
Tutor before unknown
Grooming us as The Lord’s elite
To live before His throne
