What I Really Am Poem by Scarlett Blades

What I Really Am

Rating: 4.5

You may say that I lie.
You may think that I have never shined.
But when you try,
You will find that I will one day rise
Out of this period of time,
To show you
What I really am.

With my head bowed down low,
You think I cry inside.
I when actually, I glow with pride.
Don’t worry,
I have nothing to hide.
Actually, I can glide and fly,
Because this is
What I really am.

One day, you’ll see,
That I’ll flee with glee,
With all the wealth and health there is
Oh, let me be.
I don’t change that fact,
Because this is
What I really am.
