What if I chose to be by your side
would you stay true to me
and never tell me any lies

What if I was lonely and needed your company
would you stop and take time to be next to me
Or what if I was sad, could you make me happy
Or try to keep me smiling

What if I was sick, miserable and hurt
would you put aside your duties and hurry from work
Even if you’re behind would you put me first

If I gave you all my trust
In whatever it is you may do
Would I regret us
And me being with you

What if I said I’ll let you in my life
Would you take all I got
And leave me with strife

What if I was lost and confused
Could you lead, guide, and direct me
Or would you refuse

All of these “what if’ s “can drive a guy insane
But are you man enough to handle the pain
Are you able to give up the games
Could you put me first in everything
I’m not trying to take over or anything
It’s just guys these days
Are all the same
