What If Poem by Thomas Plotz

What If

What If

What if, the fall doesn’t end?
What if, we stand our ground
March around, hold hands dance, and sing?
What if, we walk the path together, strong
Pausing now and then, in time for reflection,
Then walking more to see Gods wonder, and interjections
Crying out, Love is Love
My heart's with you, it’s where I belong

For our love is 20 years long
Over half of your life, and most of mine
For Love is Love, friends till the termination,
Of life’s tribulation

All along, we call each other
To carry the burden, in time of need
Stout resultant hand, acting to stay
Pray with me on our knees

Then waiting, for me to waken
At morning light, wiping my eyes to see you clear
For my fear, is true
I’m not wishing, for this to end
Before we both move off again

Our families will play, in the fields of flowers
With music of birds to entertain us
Singing their song, they learned life long
For only they, are able to sing it
For God has made no mistakes
In his grand plan of worlds border

For love is Love, I must say, is the order
That’s created, and mandated

What if, we stay?
