What If? Poem by Marilyn Shepperson

What If?

Rating: 5.0

If one night, you travelled far
From the sounds, lights and sights
Of the abodes of men
To a wide wilderness
And stood alone in its' centre
Until there was no more noise
The wind hushed, the owl quiet
What if you then held your breath
And listened very hard
Would you, could you
Hear the burning of the stars?
