What If The Final Sentence Is... Poem by Dorothy Kardas, Psy.D. Th.D.

What If The Final Sentence Is...

Mowing profits on the fields of greed
calculations in outwitting the weak
getting ahead for self-centered need
impatiently planning in egotistic heat

Cultivating multifold vice and misdeed
excusing it as most common, practical feed
forgetting finality, height of charitable deed
hazardous injustice and severity into the soul seep

Two-faced, double-tongued habitually ingrained
day by day expanding as offensive to look at stain
perfidious, double-dealing constantly wheeling
surges of guilt viewed only as an irritating feeling

Misdeed? ! Under the rug sweep!
Lies after lies filling the well deep!
Are they safely covered?
Will they be discovered?
Lull the soul to sleep...
In iniquitous slime
In vain, trying to bliss leap!

'What's unfitting with exertion for me? '
Foolishness! End the prattle!
The means matter!
The aims matter!
Each intent matters!
The Final End
Supremely Matters...

The final sentence
The Thunderous Voice announces...
Wickedness, self-love forever denounces:
The final sentence is...
'Hell'
'All efforts wasted by thee',
'Nothing was done - out of love - for ME'...

Dr. you nailed the whole purpose of our life! Scary but so useful insights. No longer think of myself as so great in my service to Our Lord. Need to work harder on doing everything with the right intention. DOING ALL for HIM, and nothing for myself for by doing it all for Him, I'll find myself and true bliss! Thanks for these pearls of wisdom, which no doubt are Gifts from God.

Right on Rick! There are times we're doing things for God, but if it is not a consistent behavior with the right intention, we are still failing God ui+t is not Right on Richard! There are times we do our best for God but if it's not a consistent behavior, it is not true repentance & we fail God. He needs our beings totally for Him in every moment of our lives! And, that is a great & exciting challenge. He provides for us all we need through graces if we obey out of love for Him. The Dr. writes about it so convincingly & powerfully in her works! God bless!
