What If There Were No Heavens? Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

What If There Were No Heavens?

Rating: 5.0

This is quite strange
Most could think it is out of range
What if there were no heavens
Neither also for the dreaded hells
People just aligned in science
Then man’s freedom in intelligence
Away with pulls of the creed
For most had turned into greed
Man takes the streets at will
Do all he can with no bill
Perhaps it pleases him; his nudity
And the great love for his profanity
Alas! There are sparkling heavens
Contrasting, indeed, to the gory hells
More reasons we must abide
Then put sentiment aside
What you sow; you reap
Before you do it; think deep!

This is quiet strange and very nice too as per expression shared. Man takes the streets at will is too interesting with imagery. Nice sharing....10
