What If We Are What We Need Poem by Old Teenage Poems

What If We Are What We Need

Rating: 4.5

Directions changed
Storm turned still
And I found myself watching you
With an expression of childish thrill

Maby for the first time
We could just get it right
Could see eachothers happiness
Without an inner fight

For the first time we
Manage to play the same game
In the same league at the same time
And just once,
we break the scores.

And maby we'll never be quite what we need
but instead, what we want
And maby, to me, that's more than good enough

Well, and - that's was a turn - its me and I'm waiting to hear more - needs and wants - never can get them reconciled - though the aspiration should continue - some day perhaps it can be reached.
