What Is Life To Offer Poem by Diane Monte

What Is Life To Offer

Rating: 3.8

What is life to offer me, when i grow old,
Will someone offer a coat to cover me from an evening cold,
Just like a tree on its last leaf fell and drifted away by the wind for good,
One last step at the grandest peak and my path will be closed.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem to internalize what is life to offer after our hardworks, these things we are after with. Life is too short to be wasted on secular things.
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A simplified version of Life I see in your poem, not so complicated just wanting care and loved ones with you....I liked it for two reasons...The simplicity with which you controlled your desires and the expectations you kept at very low....10++

I like the image of the last leaf. Life is short and we need to use our time wisely.
