What Was Done In A Dream Poem by Trysta Due

What Was Done In A Dream

There's a fierceness in his voice
That wasn't there a moment ago,
He's getting that look in his eyes
That's when I should have known,
He grabbed me by my arms
And threw me down on his bed,
Then everything went black
He must've hit me in the head,
I look around to find him
But he's no where in sight,
I try to get up
But I'm bound down tight,
When I try to scream out
I realize my mouth is taped shut,
All the feeling returns to me
And there's a sting in my gut,
I can feel the liquid on my skin
And smell the coppery scent of blood,
It's then that I realize I'm cut open
And it's all pouring out in a flood,
I'm sliding in and out of consciousness
The sweet easy feeling of sleep overcoming me,
My eyes then begin to drift closed again
As my life slowly slips away from me.
