When Do I Miss Someone
though i see myself as a loner
romantically facing the music on my own
dancing to my own tune
and discovering new continents,
I sometimes wish you were here
not to be strong for me
or support me in my strife
to open my jam
or fix the leaky tap
but to marvel with me
in the small things
I wish you were here to look a my work
to reaffirm to my soul that it is good
that is when I need a partner.
