When drops of rain are falling
those tears from angel eyes
will fall down from the heavens
and cause their hearts to sigh
what could have been but is'nt
it should have all come true
that moment lost forever
the day that he lost you

It was a simple story
that everybody knows
boy meets girl and falls in love
you've read it in the prose
both happy and endearing
they get along just fine
or so thought he, he would agree
but she was not inclined

A romance of a fashion
developed fairly soon
he believing all was well
but she a different tune
as music needs some harmony
a rythm to play well
he walzed along in innocence
never hearing warning bells

The mood changed as the months went by
he tried to find a cure
how do I prove my love for her
she cares for me I'm sure
he went through all the motions
but still it was'nt right
and so they parted sadly
yes it rained that night
