When God Made You He Thought Of Me Poem by Alexander Beebe

When God Made You He Thought Of Me

Of all the people in this world
how did I meet you?
Was it fate that blessed us with
arranging our first rendezvous?
I can’t imagine a better fit
than what I have with you.
As if life’s jig saw puzzle pieces
landed two by two.

Some may say the stars align to
make it all work out.
Some choose cards, or crystal balls
to know what loves about.
Some just say it’s random luck,
or what they see in numbers.
But when God made you, he thought of me
in that I have no doubt.

We’ve never said we’re perfect
we’ve had our fights from time to time.
It’s what we do when tempers settle
that keeps our love alive.
To say I’m wrong or I’m sorry
goes a long, long way.
To make a match that’s made in heaven
stronger every day.

Some may say the stars align to
make it all work out.
Some choose cards, or crystal balls
to know what loves about.
Some just say it’s random luck,
or what they see in numbers.
But when God made you, he thought of me
in that I have no doubt.

Of all the people in this world
how did I meet you?
Was it fate that blessed us with
arranging our first rendezvous?
When God made me he knew I
needed- what I have in you.
