When I Looked Into Your Eyes Poem by Adam Rubenstein

When I looked into your eyes
and then, I saw you smile
I had felt Love again
which had been a long while,

When I held your hand
I felt passion, and desire
the softness of your touch
in my heart I felt your fire,

When I held you tight
I did not want to let go
just to stay with you
and have our Love grow,

When you said 'I Love you'
you were, right then, my dove
the bird the world considers
to represent peace, and Love.

When I look deep into my soul
and apart we may be
those beautiful moments we shared
will be here in my heart, with me.
