When I’ M Not There Poem by Sarah Holmes

When I’ M Not There

Somebody else will be looking in my mirror,
Somebody else will be brushing their hair.
Somebody else will be loving my baby,
When I’m not there.

Somebody else will be hold his hand,
Somebody else will be sitting in my chair.
Somebody else will be playing my piano,
When I’m not there.

Somebody new will be kissing my baby,
Somebody new will be climbing these stairs.
Somebody new will be walking down my street,
When I’m not there.

Somebody new should be remembering me,
Somebody new might just care.
Somebody new will look after my baby,
When I’ m not there.
