When Indifference Is A Virtue Poem by Ulysses Cabinatan

When Indifference Is A Virtue

Why should I please them?
we’re not related to each other

Why should I try to listen to them?
If all they will say won’t bring the best of me

Why should I make them happy?
They weren’t there when I was in distress.

Why should I change for them?
if all they want is for them to feel important

I am happy as being me
I rather have peace, than to please everybody
