When It's Time Poem by King Happy

When It's Time

Shattered,
falling six feet down
on a fresh Berber
carpet

Communing with my future
and the losses
I have gained
a ladybug seeks
to find me.

There's a beauty in this
world so wonderful
the broken only feel it.

It's my life,
crawling on the floor
and up the walls
to find you.

A sudden guilt-
what am I to do?
We'll both soon be
squashed
and obliterated.

So before this is all over
I'll get up off the floor,
and save a life
one last
time,
walking out the door.

There's a beauty in this
world so wonderful
it puts the pieces back
together.
