When We Fell In Love Poem by Bamukunda Hillary

When We Fell In Love

Rating: 4.0

.
The gates of heaven were open wide
Like saints it was our time to ride
Our words were spotless
The smiles were teethless
We laughed our hearts out
We held our hands tight in
Nothing mattered but us
Even if our love destroyed earth.
.
Your friends thought me unworthy
Your ex's saw another accident ahead
Your enemies couldn't hide the excitement
Your family saw another night mare
You sàw a certified love mayor
Who could beautify your city
Words couldn't break you
And their attitude couldn't dine with you
.
It's been ages of centuries
We are still rocking
We have never been bruised
We have walked a journey of no flights
Our grand children symbolise those decisions
That nobody made for us
Not even the attitude of those our friends
But the feelings that arrested us
When we fell in love.
