When We Return Poem by Echo of the forest

When We Return

Rating: 5.0

we leave
thus making a promise of coming back
without knowing, we step against a bow string
that does not break,
made from the longings
of those that are dear to us
of those we are dear to

and one day
the string pulls back
we become salmon running home,
against the current,
against the reason of all the people
who have not reached their heart
yet
