Where Love Ends Poem by Valerie Daley

Where Love Ends

You’re always speakin’in metaphor
You’re always singin’in rhyme
I mistook you for someone who cared
Seems like a waste of my time.
Some say that you’re no good
And that I really should
Find love in new places,
Find love in new faces
I knew there would come a day
When I would find my own way
And I could finally say
I just found out where love ends and heartache begins
Seems like in this game of love
One looses and one always wins.
See my life in shades of flourescence
Feelings bubbling in effervescence
Don’t want no love as no decadence
Want my life in solitude of silence
