'Wherefore Art Thou' Poem by JoAnn McGrath

'Wherefore Art Thou'

Wherefore Art Thou?

What fare you my sweet Romeo?
Wherefore art thou?
Tis lonesome here in this wenches crib
'I lay the dust with my tears'
And make a gentle stream
I wander at it's edge
For time will kill my grief
Yet time is my servitor
It loves me naught
So hasten your heart
When love comes slowly
Just to hear thy words
Would render me blest
