While Waiting For You Poem by Marites C. Cayetano

While Waiting For You

I have drank all the wine
while waiting for you
and the morning bird
starts singing
it's a new day soon
oh yes
it's a new day soon
and still you're not here.

I have drank all the wine
and the night will be over
oh, how would life be
when I wake up in the morning
without you?
oh yes
it's a new day soon
and still you're not here.

I have drank all the wine
while waiting for you
and the wine was sweet and bitter
as my mind lingers to you and me
oh yes
those are the old days
when we both are young
and we're together still.
