Whilst Jesus Lives

You give me life You give me breath
The universe to see
Should I accept yet one day death?
Could steal this love from me

Not while my God inside me lives
Not while such love’s to share
Not while salvation still He gives
Through Jesus everywhere

No longer do I walk in fear
Nor live a life of dread
Through faith in Christ I’m standing here
In hope of what’s ahead

Your Promises are ever real
Though all else turns to dust
Regardless how I tend to feel
In You I place my trust

You are my God I love so much
I’m here because of You
I’ve come alive at Jesus’ touch
With endless life in view

I’m looking far beyond here now
Looking more deep inside
Recalling when I took The Plough
And bid my Lord abide

You came in Truth You came with Light
You came with love and fire
You came my God with all Your might
And brought me life’s desire

To walk to live to comprehend
To love as ne’er before
Until with Christ as Lord and Friend
I enter Heaven’s Door
