Whisper In Woods Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

All are gone
leaving him alone in
this dense forest.
For a while he tried
to grasp the loneliness,
then noticed being
in the middle of the
circle of monstrous trees.
Well, he new, last
all will go and mentally
prepared to be alone here.
Just some time back
he realized that and-
now he was alone.
He was cool with
no fear but strangely
curious about his
next moment.
He remembered, in past
he would imagine
being in woods like this.
Suddenly some sound
softly floated in air,
a whisper...
Startled, he looked around
just to see nothing
but monstrous trees.
He tried hard what he
had imagined like being in
dense forest
But never imagined the
whisper..
Again it was there...
He intensely tried to catch
the words but failed.
So soothing it was.
Who was calling him?
He couldn't catch the words
but understood...
