White Poem by Rhiannon blackbird

White

There's a day,
You'll see,
All that I aspire to be,

Come whatever may,
I'll soar high,
I'll be free,

Despite all the things you say,
Joyous as a song bird,
Lively as a bee,

My head I will not lay,
I will be happy,
I will have glee,

In a life you simply can't portray,
For you are dark,
And I am light,

And though filled with your dismay,
You cannot blacken me,
I'm white.
