Who Is The Fairest One Of All? Poem by David Taylor

Who Is The Fairest One Of All?

How we strive to know You,
and know You not.
How we pray to see You
and see You not
How we chastise your absence
and miss You!

As we bob on waves of thought
and overlook;
we are that ocean deep
when awake or dreaming
but it seems, still sleeping?
How can we deny
we are that
for which we look?
