No longer can we act the fool
Or play the devil’s clown
Seeking to be our Father’s tool
And gain life’s hallowed crown

We’d live to see our Saviour’s face
We’d learn and understand
Religion cannot earn a place
Within The Promised Land

By grace alone we’ll win The Keys
By God each victory’s won
When faithfully we bend our knees
To Christ His living Son

Our righteousness is Jesus Christ
Through Christ are souls reborn
When life in Him we’ve sacrificed
Towards the youngest dawn

Eternity of joyful peace
Magnificent supreme
Where glorious love will so increase
Beyond our wildest dream

Who but a fool would risk such loss?
Their backs to Jesus turn
Steeped in sin deny The Cross
Within hell’s flame to burn

Who but a fool would darkness crave?
Would Heaven’s Lamp deny
Refuse their precious soul to save
Through He who’s standing by

He’s here for you He’s here for me
He’s here for yours and mine
The living God will heal and free
