Who Will Read Poetry?
Poets are many
readers are few
should poets retire?
should not readers admire?
Poets are selfish
they want to be appraised
they don't want to appraise
nobody wants just to praise
everybody wants praise in return.
People are busy
who has time to read poetry?
why canvass people to read?
Poetry books are not sold
publishers reluctant
booksellers unwilling to stock
self-publishing is born
publishers fool the budding poets
promise attractive returns
but books are not sold
only gifted to near and dear
for personal satisfaction
but they also don't read
and never appraise.
Now e-book starts
poetry websites sprout
with prizes and awards
volumes of poems piled up
in the e-depository
poets are not motivated!
over a period of time
these websites may go barren
no craze to see poems in the web
no craze for reading poems
b e c a u s e
everybody has turned poet
who will read poetry?
poet has talked the basic feeling that all poet face.beautiful.he has written my condition. poem writing is a way of passing one's time .poem writing is a condition in physical body.
The above poem is based on my practical experiences.....and I feel many face the same...thanks for supporting my cause...

Very true, there are loads of poets now a days and less readers of them due to busy schedule of life and may be not feel so attached with them.But a appraisal is the peak point for a poet to be appreciated with his or her pen.But what I feel we should write for our self to satisfy our soul.I believe the best one would receive the best appraise one day. A soulfully write. great.
