Why Are You Mine? Poem by SANKAR SARKAR

Why Are You Mine?

WHY ARE YOU MINE?

body is concrete, mind is abstract,
both are dull in their distinct tract,
I love you to make them equal
concerning life, else all is gall,
you are nothing but middling
so the universe seems relevant,
in the midst of diverse creation
where you are my only occupant
