Why Did You Go? Poem by Brian Joseph Dickenson

Why Did You Go?

Why are you weeping my love?
Your tears glisten
Like the stars in the heavens above.
Is this a dream?

Your face floats before me,
Your expression condemns:
Oh please hear my plea,
I tried so hard to be with you.

Time was the barrier,
There was no way to reach you.
No cupid the carrier.
And now you have gone from my life.

Never to see you or hold you again,
To face every day
With this constant pain:
Knowing you died without me.
