Why Do I Love Poetry?
I love poetry
For it loves me back
It asks me for nothing
But gives and gives
Without frowning
It has decorated my loneliness
Its presence has made me whole
It has that magic touch that makes
Silence a musical rendition by a maestro
Why do I love poetry?
Because poetry has been true to me
Poetry hasn't betrayed my trust
Poetry hasn't made me wait
Poetry hasn't made me suffer.
