Why God Doesn'T Answer Prayers Poem by Eric Pennington

Why God Doesn'T Answer Prayers

Rating: 5.0

Why God when I ask for something you do not give?
Do you not care anymore? Do you care if I live?
Why do you sit back and let my life go down the drain?
How come you allow my eyes leak more than the rain?
Have you stopped looking for me? Have I lost my way?
Do you care anymore, if from you I go astray?
I am about to give up, my feet are callused and sore.
I can't go with this, I can not take anymore...

My servant, what have you done for your prayers to be answered?
You have done nothing for me, you don't even read my word.
You ask and ask and ask, yet you give not.
I only ask for a little, not all that you've got.
I am the truth, the way, and the light.
I will give to you freely, but you must not lose sight.
Of the gift of salvation, and what I've saved you from.
Your time here on Earth is short, soon to Heaven you'll come.
Away from all of your troubles and sorrows.
Where there will be no more tomorrows.
But ever lasting day, no more dark nights.
No more pain, no more fights.
All I ask of you is to give a little, to get a little.
Live by my word, not in the middle.

beautiful and oh so true! ! ! How often we turn to God and wish for things in prayer then turn around and do what we want and then think its God that doesnt care. I love this poem. Thanks for sharing. Dwayne
