Why Xenophobia Why!

Rating: 4.5

They say this is not my home,
but why does it feel like my bedroom,
they say i am not welcomed,
i gaze through the glass windows,
the air, the wind, and seas welcome me indeed,

they say this is not my land,
but why am i not separated from it,
they say this is not my country,
then why does it feel like it,
they say i am not like them,
then why do i look like them,

for long never said a thing,
for long never given change,
so long it took for me to grant,
so long it takes for me to cry,

i am offered an artificial smile,
and i offer my heart,
with tires i am roasted like a chicken,
but why do i feel like i am in the kitchen,
i work and somehow the is a benefit for all,
but i benefit and somehow the is hate against me,

too long never been nomadic,
too long ever been stable,
a song i sing with soul,
but i do not belong,
and i do not dream!

Very strong message really expressed in a very poetic way. I think this is very good poetry. One day, perhaps, color will not matter One day, perhaps, we will all live together in certain harmony One day, ... Let's believe in that day together and it may come true.
