Wild night! —
the memory of it
still with me
in this early hour—
the sounds outside
of branches rattled
walls and windows
pummeled—
ferocious gusts
through one
of the longest nights
of the year.
What to do?
but wait and see
what dawn reveals
of the destruction—
then wait
to sense
the Light's direction
how to deal with it.

These hard, dark winter nights of life, may they pass in due time, revealing a sunlit new day, the likes of which no human mind could have prior forseen coming. Thank you Glen for this beautiful poem of hope; I needed to hear it. You write with such beauty and grace. Peace to you my friend. May we all make it through the tempestuous nights.
hey, smoky! great to hear from you. thank you for your kind words, and may we both stay strong with the kind of trust abraham had who hoped against hope. be blessed. and have a good holiday season. -glen
