Wildlife In Catastrophic Decline Poem by Phil Soar

So, the way our wildlife's in decline
Maybe we should be sad
Not the case, you would agree
As we claim this land as 'MINE'
If we cared as much for those who were here before us
And less on Drugs, Alcohol, Guns, War....need I go on?
This planet and it's beautiful nature may live on
Extinction is just that
No coming back from that
And yet, we carry on destroying that which we depend on
Not just for our food
Not just for our Health
But for everything we need

Are we just going to keep looking on?
Unaware of the effect we are having on the Earth

I guess not, because to us the planet is ours
Shame on every one of us.
