Will You Trust Me? Poem by Astell Collins

Will You Trust Me?

There will be times when I would allow trials to come your way
Will you trust me knowing it’s for your good and not for dismay?
And when I let pain remain a little longer
Will you trust me or would you allow your faith to weaver?
If I didn’t deliver you on the time you had in mind
Will you trust me or will you begin to believe that I’m unkind?
Considering if I let you go hungry
Will you trust me or think that I am angry
What if you get lost and don’t hear me answer when you call
Will you trust me or would be too distracted to seek me at all
Suppose I allowed you to get deep in sin
Will you trust me or will you be too upset to let the revival begin
I love you and have died to ensure your delivery
So never doubt my methods but always trust me
