Windy Makes It Cold Poem by Mark Money

Windy Makes It Cold

windy makes it cold
blank sheet of paper makes thoughts and ideas come.
powers the fingers into spasms of creativity;
holds the power to change people's minds.
it's colder than it ever was- -
pump handle's frozen
cold cold hearts never gonna thaw
evening memories turning hard as ice.

windy makes it cold
blowing through the canyons of forgot
sneaking like strong silent dogs through the dead of winter.
(even colder now)
gone out on a pretense never did make sense
now gone
in more ways than one,
he calls it abstract; remembers to forget.

forgotten you
windy makes it cold and even blue.
