so many things in life
that we take for granted
sometimes god smacks us
with a backhand of love
just to wake us up
unfortunately for some it’s too late
to grasp what has slipped away
so they begin a new journey
hoping not to make the same mistakes
only to fall through the cracks once again
funny how life treats you
it makes you feel good
then sad, and blue
never give in
no matter how hard life gets
or will you take that for granted too?
