Wishing Poem by Ray Hansell

Wishing

Walking down the street
Hoping I would meet
That very lovely lady
Who swept me off my feet

Her hair was black coal
Her eyes as blue as the sea
I wonder of she would even
Take a second look at me

It's probably wishful thinking
That I would have a chance
To walk next to this beauty
Who deserves more than a glance

But I guess it's alright to dream
For dreams always give us hope
At least that's what I read today
In my daily horoscope
